The Hesperia Recreation and Park District proudly honors the brave men and women who have selflessly served our nation by hosting its annual Veterans Day Ceremony. Held every year on Tuesday, November 11th, this community gathering brings together active-duty military personnel, veterans, their families, and local neighbors to express deep gratitude, Honoring All Who Served. The formal program begins precisely at 11:00 a.m. at the beautiful Hesperia Lake Park, located at 7500 Arrowhead Lake Road. Co-hosted alongside vital local organizations like AMVETS, the ceremony features patriotic tributes, guest speakers, a presentation of colors, and an opportunity for veterans to connect directly with regional support networks and resources.

To show further appreciation for their sacrifices, the District traditionally offers free park entry and fishing at Hesperia Lake for all veterans and active-duty military personnel on November 11th with a valid military ID. Community members planning to attend the outdoor ceremony are highly encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs or blankets, as permanent seating at the memorial site is limited and prioritized for elderly guests and disabled veterans. The ceremony takes place rain or shine, though events, dates, and times remain subject to change.
