Senior Kicks Club Free Classes
Come enjoy free classes located at Percy Bakker Community Center offered by Choice Medical Group! Brain Train Academy takes place on Monday at 12:30pm. There will also be 3 different painting classes with 3 different designs led by Carli; the 3 dates are July 18th, August 22nd, and September 19th. Catches After Hesperia Lake Reopened
We were FLOORED with how much love and support Hesperia Lake got during the closure due to the Hesperia Fire, and many couldn’t WAIT to get back to fishing!! HRPD Helps with Fire Efforts
When we heard about the Hesperia Fire and how close it was, Hesperia Recreation and Parks District sprang into action! The fire started Saturday, June 15 and quickly grew in size, prompting large-scale efforts from San Bernardino County Fire. Due to the close proximity of the fire, Hesperia Lake Park shut down Sunday, June 16 and turned into a base camp for all First Responders involved. The Hesperia Fire is now at 95% containment. Epicentre Community Mural Event!
Have you ever wanted to participate in an activity that will benefit the community? Come on over to our Epicentre facility and take part in a Community Mural Painting event! Local High Desert artist Vanessa Gomez, who completed a mural located at Hesperia Lake Park, is bringing her amazing talents to Epicentre for a spectacular new design and she would love to have the community's help again with this new mural! Weekend fun with Wicked Kustomz
The past weekend welcomed car enthusiasts to the 2nd Annual Wicked Kustomz Car, Truck & Motorcycle show. The Wicked Kustomz Car Club hosted a plethora of custom car's, custom trucks and custom motorcycles. This year's show was hosted alongside the Hesperia Farmers Market this past Saturday. Along with the custom Hot Rodz there were local artisan and crafted food booths along with food and drink vendors. Participants enjoyed the many offerings the Farmers' market has to offer while strolling down the "dragstrip" getting a glimpse of the many cars. Easter Antics at the Annual Easter Egg Hunt
What a fun filled day of Easter Antics! The day started with a welcome speech from our Hesperia Recreation and Park District Board President Kelly Gregg, who spent most of the day mingling with vendors, welcoming attendees and passing out candy to the kids. Among the visitors was a curious gopher who almost stole the show, Director Irish quickly assessed and resolved the issue with the help of the Park Rangers.
