FISHING REPORT

Best Bait: Artificial fishing lures (minnows, mini jigs, and spoons) and Power Bait (Rainbow, Orange, and Pink)

Dates covered in this fishing report: April 23rd thru April 26th, 2026

Weather conditions: Most days were windy and cooler with temps in the 60’s and 70’s.

Last stock: Trout (2,000 LBS): Thursday, April 23, 2026
Next stock: Trout (3,000 LBS): Tuesday, April 28, 2026

Fish size: Most are an average of 2-5 pounds.  However, there have been a number of Rainbow and Lightning Trout caught weighing in at 8lb+ over the last week. Our Trout comes from Mt. Lassen Fish Hatchery.

Top Spots of the Week: Finger, North Shore, Sandy point, Drain

 

CATCHES OF THE WEEK:

Welcome back Anglers!!!!! It’s great to see everyone back on the fishing bank!We want to thank everyone who has come out for the end of our trout season! On Thursday, April 23rd we were able to get a 2,000lb stock (1,500lbs of Rainbow Trout and 500lbs of Lightning Trout).  On Tuesday April 28th we will be stocking a bonus stock of 3,000lbs of Rainbow Trout! We look forward to seeing all the amazing fish catches!

Here are some great catches from last week!

Kenny E. and his cousin Joel C. both caught their fish using Spoons while fishing on the Finger.
Jaime M. caught his fish using Minnows on the North Shore.
Oscar R. was using Rainbow Power Bait on the North Shore when he caught his fish.
Alexander C. caught his fish using Pink Power Bait on the North Shore.
Jeff B. caught his fish using Minnows.
David M. caught his fish using Orange Power Bait on the North Shore.
Cesar C. was using a Mousetail on the North Shore to catch his fish.
Eddie J. used a Mini Jig to catch his fish on the North Shore.
Steven caught his fish on the North Shore using a Mousetail and Hatchery Dust.
David caught his fish using a Minnow on the North Shore.
Kris Y. was using minnows to catch his fish at the Drain.
Gabriel C. caught his Lightning Trout at the Drain.
Sergio M. was using a Minnow at the Drain.
Andres M. caught his fish using Cheese Power Bait at the Drain.
Ivan R. and Asher G. caught 10.11lb and 7.7lb whoppers using Spoons by the Drain. Way to go!!!
Samuel A. used a Pink Minnow to catch his fish on the back side by the Drain.
Phillip M. was by the big tree on the back side using a Mini Jig to catch his fish.
Jerrett H. caught a Catfish by the big tree using a Nightcrawler.
Oscar B. caught a big fish on the Grassy Bank using Power Bait.
Samuel, Chris, and Will caught all their fish by the big tree on the back side using a mix of Mini Jigs, Power Bait and Mousetails.
Luis M. was using a Mousetail when he caught his fish on North Shore.
Andre R. caught fish at Catfish Cove using marshmallows dipped in Kool-Aid.

Lake and Store hours are: 6am-6pm

Adults – $25
Kids – $15 WITH a paid adult band
Military/Senior (65+) – $22
Hesperia Residents – $22
