Free Swim Lesson Vouchers
The Hesperia Recreation and Park District would like to extend our sincere appreciation to the City of Hesperia and the incredible students who participated in this year’s Youth in Government Program. Your initiative, leadership, and commitment to improving our community are inspiring.
Through this program, students worked to identify meaningful projects that promote health, safety, and opportunity. As a result of their efforts, the District was awarded funding to support swim lesson access for local families, helping to expand water safety education across our community.
With the funds received, we are proud to provide:
- 88 swim lesson vouchers for the community
- Each voucher valued at $44
- Designed to build water confidence and safety skills
To participate, families must have an ActiveNet account and enroll in the swim lesson level that best matches their child’s age and ability. If you do not already have an ActiveNet account, you may create one here.
Current Openings:
- Parent & Child (Under Age 4): 10 openings
- Level 1 (Age 4+): 30 openings
- Level 2 (Age 6+): 30 openings
- Level 3 (Age 8+): 18 openings
Please register for the lesson level that best matches your child’s age and ability. Participants who do not meet the age or skill requirements for a selected class will not be eligible to participate, and may not be able to transfer to another level if openings are no longer available.
These free swim lesson vouchers are now available exclusively to Hesperia residents. Availability is limited and registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis while openings remain.
This opportunity reflects the power of youth voices in action. These students stepped forward, developed thoughtful proposals, and helped bring real resources to families in Hesperia. We also extend our gratitude to the City of Hesperia for supporting and empowering this program and investing in the next generation of leaders.
Together, we are teaching children how to swim, and creating a safer, healthier, and more connected community.
Thank you again to everyone involved in making this project a success.
